Leland C. Bussell became “of counsel” to the firm in April 1997, following 46 years of practice in his own firm, the last firm being that of Bussell, O’Neal & Hall. The original Bussell partnership was established in 1960 between Leland C. Bussell and the Honorable E. Mitchell Hough, formerly an Associate Circuit Judge in Christian County, Missouri. Mr. Bussell attended schools in Springfield and Neosho, Missouri, graduating in 1943 from Neosho. After two years in the United States Navy, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in 1949 and thereafter received his LL.B/JD from the University of Missouri in February of 1951.
Mr. Bussell is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri before all courts, including the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and is a member of the American Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. Mr. Bussell practices primarily in probate administration, probate litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, estate planning, and general business.
