Kevin Hays Dunaway received his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Drury College in 1983 and his law degree from the University of Missouri 1986. In law school, he was selected for membership to the Board of Advocates based upon his demonstration of oral argument and advocacy skills, was a Dean's list honoree, and was selected as a teaching assistant in Legal Research and Writing, and was elected President of Delta Theta Phi.

Mr. Dunaway joined the firm upon graduation from law school in 1986 and became a partner in 1991, he currently serves as chair of the firm's Litigation Committee.

Mr. Dunaway has concentrated principally in general civil litigation, practicing in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury, family law, commercial law and insurance law. He also practices in general business law and employment law. While with the firm, Mr. Dunaway was appointed Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri from 1987 to 1993. He has been a seminar lecturer for the University of Missouri School of Law, The Missouri Bar and other organizations. In 1994, Mr. Dunaway coauthored a chapter in the Missouri Bar's Workers' Compensation Law CLE Handbook and has been a supplement author. From 1988 until 2000, he was an Adjunct Professor at Drury University, teaching in the paralegal studies program, and was faculty chair of the department.

Mr. Dunaway previously served as Vice-Chair of the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Missouri Bar for the calendar year 1999-2000, and has previously served as council member.

Mr. Dunaway is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice and Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Dunaway has also been active as a director, officer or member of various other organizations.
