Judson B. Poppen received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Iowa School of Law in 2001. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998 as a Presidential Scholar with a degree in Business Administration. Before joining Neale & Newman, L.L.P. in 2004, Mr. Poppen practiced law for three years in the litigation section of Shook, Hardy & Bacon, L.L.P. in Kansas City, Missouri. He became a partner with Neale & Newman, L.L.P. in January of 2008.
Mr. Poppen is licensed to practice in all Missouri state courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, all Kansas state courts, and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. In 2009, Mr. Poppen was recognized as a "Rising Star" by the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers. He was also recognized as a Springfield Business Journal's "40 under 40" for 2008. He is a member of Leadership Springfield Class XXIV. Mr. Poppen has authored or co-authored works for the Missouri Bar Environmental Law Supplement, the Missouri Bar Courts Bulletin, the ABA publication entitled, "Ex Parte Contacts with Former Employees," and the Missouri Environmental Insider.
